I want to play GBA games on my PSP... Help?

Just recently, I've found out that I can play Gameboy Advance Games on my PSP. I want to do this, and I've made several attempts, but they've all shown to be unsuccessful. First of all, I have Firmware 3.71, and I'm not sure if a downgrade is necessary to emulate GBA games onto my PSP. I've read through several tutorials on how to downgrade to 1.50, but none of them seemed very clear, and somewhat innaccurate; though this could be due to my uncustomizable firmware version.

Anyway, to get straight to the point: I simply want to play Gameboy Advance Games on my PSP. Is a downgrade required to do this? If so, are there any available ways to downgrade from 3.71 to 1.50? Please keep your answers as simple as you can, as I'm not very familiar with all the different tyeps of firmware on PSP and such.

Thanks for your help!

Yes there is a downgrader for 3.71 called Pandoras battery, however you will need another homebrew enabled PSP to make a Pandoras battery. You migh also want to get a extra battery and a extra memorystick. You will need to downgrade to emulate the GBA. Try looking over the tutorial for the Pandoras batter, but the key is another homebrew enabled psp.

I've heard of Pandoras Battery, and I was following the tutorial to that and whenever I copied certain files, it just said "corrupted data". I have an extra battery, but not another homebrew-enabled PSP.
Are there any other alternative ways for the time being to downgrade?

None at the moment, downgraders are always being worked on though so you shouldnt worry too much...Anyways, if you want you can check this list of volunteers who will convert your memory stick and battery for free so that you can use pandoras battery to downgrade. Heres the link....

When you do get to 1.5, then you just update to a Custom Firmware such as 3.03 OE, 3.40 OE, or 3.52 M33. I am currently using 3.40 OE-A and the GBA emulator is called gpSP.
