**NEW to PSP - Need help playing cso's!

hey all, i was told i could play .cso backups of my umd games and save them on memory stick. i just got the white star wars version of PSP, and upgraded to v3.80 already...not sure if i made mistake by doing this, but can ANYONE help me figure out what im doing wrong??

I created ISO folder, dragged and dropped .cso/.iso to said folder, and game don't show up..im guessing its because of the firmware.

Question I have is....if i have to downgrade my firmware to play .cso's, wont i lose ability to use the new features with 3.80 firmware?? Sorry if this sounds noobish i just dont have a clue what im doing really......

I suppose its worth it to me, to be able to play the .cso's so if ANYONE can PLEASE direct me to where i can find the firmware that iwll let me do this, and how i downgrade my psp...

THANK YOU

You gotta downgrade to 1.50, then upgrade to a custom firmware with has the homebrew capabilities of 1.50 but the additional features of the firmware it is. Eg.. 3.03OE-C. This custom firmware has the homebrew of 1.50 but the additional features that 3.03 comes with.

Upgrading to 3.80 was probably the worst thing you could do. I don't know if you can downgrade it as of yet. You mgiht be able to use Pandora's Battery but I don't know, you'll have to ask someone else about that.]

Answer to Q2: I don't think it's a problem.

Also, don't triple post. use the Edit button at the top-right of your post.

Sorry, I'm here to help, I have been away.. Well when you play ISO/CSO game files, you put them in the 'ISO' folder in the base of your memory stick.

I'm thinking you will need to use this tutorial: Despertar Cementario to downgrade your psp. This tutorial automatically upgrades your PSP to 3.71 M33-2. You can upgrade to 3.71 M33-3 then -4.

SINCE this is a slim psp, the standard "pandora's Battery and Magic Memory Stick' won't work. Slim psps are NOT compatible to 1.50, so trying to get to 1.50 on a slim won't get you anywhere except maybe a brick?

In order to use that tutorial, you will require the use of a PSP that is on Custom Firmware already. You might not have that, so I suggest you might have to buy the required items on eBay, or you can get someone near to you to make them for you. You can go here
