PSP Turns on and just sticks to a black screen?

Hey Guys,

A little while ago I installed some Homebrew software on my PSP to play some Final Fantasy and such. I have a small problem and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it. yesterday I popped in GTA to play for a bit and it got to the loading screen and then my PSP screen went blank. After that I tried pulling out the battery and pushing the power button until the whole thing shuts down. Nothing worked. I just recently discovered that I can boot into recovery mode if I hold down the right trigger while powering on my PSP. I Checked to see if it would let me use my USB cable to connect to my computer and it will still let me do that.

I was just wondering if theres a way to get past this black screen and/or install fresh PSP firmware and start over?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: sorry forgot to add im running homebrew 3.03.

Thanks for the reply, I downloaded that and went into USB mode and went to my PSP/GAME/ folder but couldn't find a recovery file. I made a folder called Recovery and stuck the eboot.pbp in it and then my I ran it from the main menu. I hope I did this right because the screen flickered and then went back to the recovery menu. I hit Exit and it still sits at the black screen. Is there a tool or something I can do in my folders (I also have access to the Flash0/Flash1 files from the toggle usb page) that I need to edit or replace?

Thanks for any help again.
