awww man, BRICKED, so which road now?

yea so i bricked my psp 1,000 series motherboard, i noticed a new motherboard is 106.99, and the slim from what i gather is 165-179.99. from what i read so far the slim go beyond what the fat does. I'm really into the whole skype on the psp feature but am mal informed on it. i guess my general question is can the psp fat do anything the slim cant? i dont mind going up the extra 60 or so if i can just browse, talk, and play and emulator plus have crisp new smaller psp. i would appreciate your input

Theres pretty much no difference between the two. The phat psp has an app thats similar to the slim's skype. The only difference I have seen so far between the two is the size and the slim having an output video thingy that lets you ply on a bigger screen(which is is kinda cool). So its much better if you go to the phat one with the 3.60 firmware on it and jus mod it. Theres really nothing yet for the slim or just wait until something suprising comes out.
*edit* I remember now team noobz made the phone app for the phat psp. Read up on it, it might interest you or some sort.

thanks, so i guess what your saying theres no neat homebrews out for the slim yet, i read up on pandoras battery last night, and it seems i can unbrick my psp for $37 (the price of new battery) i saw another method of unbricking by dark alex, its a "universal" de-bricker, but its focused application is for the slim i think. i dont know to much about cause i would like to fix this thing without a "jigkick"

Its not possible without the jigkick. The one that dark alex made isnt really just for the slim you can use it to for the phat psp. Also you can just revert your battery.
Go read up on it more on the tutorial section. Wish I could help you out more but kinda on a tight schedule here.
